two rooms.

Liminal is a six-week installation across four floors of a former post office in Lisbon. You enter alone. You leave with someone you have never met. The rest, we do not explain — and the people who built it have agreed never to.

I. The door is already open.

You will not need to knock. You will not need to announce yourself. The room has been waiting.

II. You were expected.

There is tea, still warm. There is a chair, slightly turned. None of it is a coincidence, and none of it is for you to question.

III. Nothing here is for sale.

Not the chair. Not the letters. Not the silence. You may take none of it home except what you cannot put down.

IV. You won't remember the way back.

The exit is not the entrance. The street outside will be unfamiliar for a minute, and then unbearable for an hour, and then yours again.

— Voices, from the first run
"I cried at the chair. I have no idea why."
— J., 34, came alone
"I walked back to my hotel and slept for fourteen hours, and dreamt I was still inside."
— M., 29, came with someone
"I will not describe it. I have promised three friends I would not describe it."
— K., 41, came twice
Step inside,
once.
